About Uyghur for Hebrew speakers
Uyghur is written in Arabic script; Hebrew uses the Hebrew alphabet. Chatting in writing is a good way to get used to a new script, because you can take your time with every message.
Uyghur is related to Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkmen.
How the exchange works
- Say what you speak and what you're learning. Talkabout shows you people who speak Uyghur natively and are learning Hebrew.
- Write to someone. Take turns: some messages in Uyghur, some in Hebrew, so you both get to practise.
- Fix each other's messages. Suggest a correction on any message and your partner sees exactly what changed. You choose how much you want corrected.
Safe by default
Talkabout is for adults only. Photos and contact details unlock only after you've both written to each other, nobody can flood your inbox, and favourites stay private unless you both choose each other.
You can block or report anyone from the chat. Everyone agrees to the community guidelines, and moderators tell you which rule was broken when they act on a report.
