Practise Sinhala with native speakers who want to learn Korean
Talkabout pairs people who help each other: they speak what you're learning and are learning what you speak. Free, in your browser, adults only.
Who's here
Few people are exchanging Sinhala and Korean yet. Sign up and we'll show you partners as they join, or invite someone who speaks Sinhala.
About Sinhala for Korean speakers
Sinhala is written in the Sinhala script; Korean uses Hangul. Chatting in writing is a good way to get used to a new script, because you can take your time with every message.
Sinhala is related to Bengali, Hindi, Nepali, Urdu.
How the exchange works
- Say what you speak and what you're learning. Talkabout shows you people who speak Sinhala natively and are learning Korean.
- Write to someone. Take turns: some messages in Sinhala, some in Korean, so you both get to practise.
- Fix each other's messages. Suggest a correction on any message and your partner sees exactly what changed. You choose how much you want corrected.
Safe by default
Talkabout is for adults only. Photos and contact details unlock only after you've both written to each other, nobody can flood your inbox, and favourites stay private unless you both choose each other.
You can block or report anyone from the chat. Everyone agrees to the community guidelines, and moderators tell you which rule was broken when they act on a report.
