About Malay for Divehi speakers
Malay is written in the Latin alphabet; Divehi uses the Thaana script. Chatting in writing is a good way to get used to a new script, because you can take your time with every message.
Malay is related to Indonesian, Tagalog, Chamorro, Fijian.
How the exchange works
- Say what you speak and what you're learning. Talkabout shows you people who speak Malay natively and are learning Divehi.
- Write to someone. Take turns: some messages in Malay, some in Divehi, so you both get to practise.
- Fix each other's messages. Suggest a correction on any message and your partner sees exactly what changed. You choose how much you want corrected.
Safe by default
Talkabout is for adults only. Photos and contact details unlock only after you've both written to each other, nobody can flood your inbox, and favourites stay private unless you both choose each other.
