About Lao for Assamese speakers
Lao is written in the Lao script; Assamese uses the Bengali–Assamese script. Chatting in writing is a good way to get used to a new script, because you can take your time with every message.
Lao is related to Thai, Zhuang.
How the exchange works
- Say what you speak and what you're learning. Talkabout shows you people who speak Lao natively and are learning Assamese.
- Write to someone. Take turns: some messages in Lao, some in Assamese, so you both get to practise.
- Fix each other's messages. Suggest a correction on any message and your partner sees exactly what changed. You choose how much you want corrected.
Safe by default
Talkabout is for adults only. Photos and contact details unlock only after you've both written to each other, nobody can flood your inbox, and favourites stay private unless you both choose each other.
You can block or report anyone from the chat. Everyone agrees to the community guidelines, and moderators tell you which rule was broken when they act on a report.
